Step 1.
Application Process
Besides submitting a resume, caregivers will complete an application that provide insight into key factors such as personal qualities, and previous experience with senior and/or disability care. This application will be carefully reviewed to ensure candidates meet the Posh Home Care’s standards. Only those who align with our criteria should be invited for face-to-face interviews, where their suitability can be further assessed.
Step 2.
Interview Process
Once the application is approved, we will initiate a phone interview to verify the applicant’s responses and gain a clearer understanding of their personality and qualifications. This interview serves as an essential step in assessing whether the applicant meets the agency’s standards.
In the final round of interview, the caregiver will meet with our team for an in-person meeting. This in-depth interview will focus on key factors such as the caregiver’s presentation, communication skills, and relevant experience. Additionally, the interviewer takes note of the caregiver’s personality traits to ensure an ideal match with the client’s needs.
During this critical screening process, the agency looks for caregivers who not only demonstrate compassion but also show reliability and a strong work ethic. A caregiver must prove they are not only kind-hearted but also dependable and dedicated to providing quality care.
Step 3.
Reference Check
At Posh Home Care, we will run reference check on all our potential caregivers. We will reach out to former employer or agency, as well as the individuals they provided care for. This ensures a well-rounded understanding of the candidate’s personal and professional background and performance.
Step 4.
Background Check
At Posh Home Care, we utilize a third-party service to conduct a comprehensive background check on potential caregivers. This process involves verifying key aspects of the applicant’s past, including criminal history, employment history, and education records. Typically, the applicant’s consent is required before this information can be accessed. Such thorough screening is a standard part of the pre-employment process, ensuring that the caregiver is trustworthy, qualified, and capable of providing the highest level of care.
- Verification of a General Physical & TB Test
- Drug Testing
- Live Scan Fingerprint Clearance
- DMV Driving Record
- Valid CPR and/or BLS Card
- Valid Proof of Licensure (i.e. HHAs)
Step 5.
Caregiver Orientation and Training
Once our caregiver is hired, it’s essential for them to undergo a comprehensive orientation and training program to ensure they are fully equipped to meet the specific needs of the client and adhere to Posh Home Care’s standards. A well-structured orientation introduces the caregiver to our procedures, and expectations, while also familiarizing them with the client’s preferences, medical conditions, and care requirements.
